Kimi does not have one universal price. It has several products with different billing systems: a personal membership, Kimi Code access, a usage-based API platform and a separate annual Business plan.
This guide separates those products so you can compare like with like. Prices and product rules below were checked against official Kimi pages on August 4, 2026. Taxes, checkout currency and regional availability may change the final amount.
Quick answer: Personal Kimi memberships cost $19 to $199 per month, with lower effective monthly prices on annual billing. The Kimi API is pay as you go, starting from model-specific token rates. Kimi’s English Business Help Center lists $600 per seat per year, with a five-seat minimum. Kimi Code is currently included with paid Kimi memberships, but it also has its own usage limits.

The four rows are not interchangeable. A Kimi membership does not provide Open Platform API credit, and buying API credit does not activate personal membership benefits.

Annual billing reduces the effective monthly cost, but it requires paying the full annual amount. Compare the included credits and concurrency before choosing based on price alone.
Kimi can also be used without a paid membership. However, the current English pricing table describes only the four paid tiers and does not present a stable, complete entitlement table for free access. We therefore do not promise a fixed number of free tasks on this page.

How Kimi Code is billed
Kimi Code is a coding agent for terminal and IDE workflows. As of our verification date, official Kimi material says it is included with paid Kimi memberships. The four paid tiers show Kimi Code credit multipliers of 1×, 5×, 15× and 30×, respectively.
This does not mean unlimited coding. Kimi documents a separate five-hour and weekly rate limit for Kimi Code, and its help center says a revised membership system is planned. Treat the checkout page and Kimi Code console as the final authority immediately before purchase.
Kimi Code membership and the kimi-k2.7-code model on the Open Platform are separate access routes:

The Kimi API Open Platform has no personal subscription plan. It charges separately for cached input, uncached input and generated output. The official platform currently highlights these rates:

Prices exclude applicable taxes. A request can contain a mixture of cached and uncached input, so the invoice is not simply “input plus output” unless you know how many tokens landed in each category.
Kimi’s current first-party pages disagree on the web-search tool fee: the Open Platform WebSearch guide lists $0.005 per triggered call, while the Help Center API pricing article lists $0.004 per invocation. We do not select one as the current rate without a live billing observation; the calculator shows both as a $0.004-$0.005 scenario range. Search-result tokens can also add model-input cost. Batch inference for supported models is priced separately at 60% of standard inference rates.

Kimi Business pricing
Kimi’s official Business page lists:

The Business plan combines access to Kimi on the web, Kimi Work and Kimi Code with managed seats and an isolated business workspace. It is different from buying API tokens for an application or production service.
There is a current official-source discrepancy: Kimi’s English Help Center shows $600 per seat and a $3,000 five-seat minimum, while a price rendered or indexed from the Business marketing page has appeared as $599 and $2,995. We use the more specific English Help Center table here. Confirm the live checkout total before purchase.
For larger deployments or custom API requirements, Kimi directs customers to its sales channels. Confirm the exact terms, supported regions, taxes and data-processing arrangements with Kimi before purchasing.
Which Kimi plan should you choose?
Choose free access first if…
You are evaluating basic chat behavior and do not yet know which paid features you need. Free availability and limits can change, so use it for evaluation rather than planning a fixed workload.
Choose Kimi Membership if…
You want the hosted Kimi workspace, agent features or Kimi Code without managing an API key. Moderato is the lowest paid tier; higher tiers mainly buy more usage and concurrency.
Choose Kimi API if…
You are building an app, internal automation, evaluation harness or agent that calls a model programmatically. API billing gives finer cost visibility, but you are responsible for security, retries, logging and spend controls.
Choose Kimi Business if…
You need at least five managed team seats, separation between personal and organization workspaces and Kimi’s stated business data protections. Request and review the applicable agreement before uploading sensitive company information.
Important cost checks before paying
- Confirm the product. Membership credit cannot be assumed to work on the Open Platform.
- Open the final checkout page. Currency, tax and regional payment options may differ.
- Check renewal terms. Annual prices are billed as annual totals, not month by month.
- Review credit rules. A task count is an estimate; token consumption and feature type affect actual usage.
- Look for secondary deductions. Some hosted features can continue consuming membership credits while deployed.
- Set API limits. Cap output length, monitor usage and keep keys server-side.
